Self-esteem is the individual self-attitude and value judgments is a core part of the individual personality structure, self-concept. An important component of group identity and preferences are individual self-concept. The social identity theory:social classifications, individual autonomy of the crowd is divided into (I) groups and (external) groups on the attitude of the group identity, group preferences and outside groups derogatory tendency. Studies have shown that self-esteem and individual status is the preference of the important factors in the individual intergroup. Self-esteem not only show the high and low levels of the other, there are different types of points, points of implicit and explicit intergroup preferences also exist different self-esteem on interpersonal preferences of different groups is still controversial. In particular, self-esteem is different for different social status, especially vulnerable groups, self-esteem of their group preferences, self-esteem by the threat this situation variable is exacerbated by the extent of this controversy. Different self-esteem type of implicit and explicit intergroup preferences, especially for relatively disadvantaged groups within the migrant children, implicit, explicit intergroup preferences whether there is a significant difference? This difference in the context of self-esteem is threatened, whether there is the difference?Based on the above thinking, the study starting from the different test groups, individuals and their self-esteem by comparing different self-esteem type of threat scenarios group preferences implicit, explicit embodiment examine self-esteem on the different groups, especially migrant children intergroup preferences. Studies using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, IAT and emotional thermometer measurements, examine the explicit intergroup preferences characteristics of the different self-esteem types of groups; Study2by Implicit Contact test the IAT group implicit intergroup preferences, examine the groups of different self-esteem type of implicit intergroup preferences embodied; Study three, to join the self-esteem threat situations, types of groups on different self-esteem of implicit and explicit intergroup preferences for testing and examining their preferred and non-threatening situations intergroup differences.All three studies, results showed that:(1) On the explicit outgroup preference, whether the flow of children, urban children, have shown significant explicit intergroup preferences effect, the explicit group preference was significantly greater than;(2) Outside of the two types of children’s self-esteem type group interpersonal preference test showed that the fragile high self-esteem group, explicit intergroup preferences effect is higher than other groups, and exhibited lower outgroup preferences out significant measurements.(3) implicit measure, there are significant implicit effect on urban children and migrant children, including the implicit group interpersonal preferences, showing clear within the group preference.(4) Further analysis found that urban children are more mobile groups implicit ingroup preference is higher; specific type of self-esteem, a fragile high self-esteem and consistent low self-esteem migrant children in the outgroup preference, outgroup preference effect is not significant.(5) compared with non-threatening situations, urban children and migrant children in threat situations, in explicit showed more within-group preferences and fewer outgroup preference; implicit ingroup preference than the threat to low.(6) Threat context, fragile high self-esteem individuals explicit intergroup preferences score higher than other groups, mainly to reduce the preference for the group preferred the enhanced explicit and explicit outgroup difference was not significant; implicit self-esteem type without differences.
