The social value orientation for the different status groups’preferenceIn psychology, the preference has always been a very important phenomenon research, preference not only has a relationship with perception and conflict between groups, but also has a relationship with the corresponding social cognitive and motivational processes.This study focused on the impact of social value orientation and group status for inside and outside the group preference, verifying of the factors which impact on group preference, fill the gaps in group preference study. This study selected Tianjin Normal University students as subjects, aimed at understanding the impact of group status and social value orientation for inside and outside the group preference, as well as in explicit and implicit context, the findings whether there are differences. Through semantic differential scale and Go/No-go association test for explicit and implicit experiment respectively, draw the following conclusions:(1)in the explicit experiment found:low status groups’outgroup preference is significantly higher than ingroup preference, high status groups" ingroup preference is significantly higher than outgroup preference; different social value orientation of groups difference between the inside and outside the group preference was not significant;in the explicit outgroup preference, low status groups’outgroup preference is significantly higher than high status groups, no significant differences between groups of different value orientation, the two factors have significant interactions, in low status groups, outgroup preference of pro-social orientation is significantly higher than pro-self orientation, in high status groups, different social value orientation prefer no significant differences in outgroup preference; in explicit ingroup preference, the group status and social value orientation of the main effects and interactions are not significant.(2) in the implicit experiment found:low status groups’outgroup preference is significantly higher than ingroup preference, high status groups’ingroup preference is significantly higher than outgroup preference; pro-social orientation groups’outgroup preference is significantly higher than ingroup preference, pro-self orientation groups’ingroup preference is significantly higher than outgroup preference;in the implicit outgroup preference, low status groups’outgroup preference is significantly higher than high status groups, pro-social orientation groups’outgroup preference is significantly higher than pro-self orientation, the two factors have significant interactions, in low status groups, pro-social orientation groups’outgroup preference is significantly higher than pro-self orientation, in high status groups, different social value orientation prefer no significant differences in outgroup preference; in implicit ingroup preference, high status groups’ingroup preference is significantly higher than low status groups, pro-self orientation groups’ingroup preference is significantly higher than pro-social orientation, the two factors have significant interactions, in low status groups, pro-self orientation groups’ingroup preference is significantly higher than pro-social orientation, in high status groups, different social value orientation prefer no significant differences in ingroup preference.
