| The period of Qin and Han dynasties is an important divide in the art history of China. The stone relief art of Han dynasty existed for a very short time like a flash in the pan. However,these art relics remain in many places of China such as Henan, Shandong, Shaanxi and Sichuan, having their effects until now.Shandong Province, the cradle of Lu culture, is one of the regions in China having man-y stone relief relics. The stone reliefs in low reaches of Yellow River are mainly in Qingzhou Cishibu(a feudal prefectural region of Han Dynasty), Yanzhou Cishibuand Pengcheng State of Han Dynasty, most of which are in Shandong Province. As to speak, the stone reliefs are found all around Shandong Province. The key preserved stone reliefs of Han Dynasty found through modern archaeological excavation are found in over100places such as Jinan Changqing Xiaotangshan Ancestral Temple, Jining Jixiang Wushi Ancestral Temple and Tombs of Han Dynasty in Cangshan County, which are well-known both at home and abroad. There are not only tombs with luxurious stone reliefs under the relics but also ancestral temples and stone towers carved delicate stone reliefs on the ground, boasting all-inclusive contents, skilled techniques, grand tomb scale and high level of art. Above all, the traditional craft of the art of stone reliefs contains deep cultural connotation such as the world view, aesthetics value and aesthetic taste of people in Han Dynasty, deserving our further research, protection and inheriting.At present, the research on the stone relief art of Han dynasty in Shandong, with contents involving history, archeology, literature, architecture, etc., has already formed certain scale. Among the existing research achievements, the achievements on archeology and architecture are more outstanding, however, it is insufficient to research from the point of view of design and culture, and it is also rare to interpret the stone relief art of Han dynasty from the point of view of environmental art designing. This essay tries to explore the cultural connotation of this art, touch the history, experience the thoughts and creation of our ancestors, plump the art’s spiritual pursuit of human faith and ideal. and elaborate its characteristics such colorful expression techniques and simple and modest aesthetic taste and connotation as well as their influence on environmental art designing of China.This essay mainly includes the following chapters:Chapter I:Put forward the background, research motive and objective of this research project, and brief the significance, contents and approaches of the research.Chapter II:Mainly brief the background of the occurrence of stone reliefs in Han Dynasty in Shandong, summarize the art characteristics of the stone reliefs of Han dynasty in Shandong province, elaborate the connection between the stone relief art of Han dynasty and the culture of Han dynasty, and connect and combine the stone relief art of Han dynasty with the historical development so as to pave the way for the following text.Chapter III:Expound the status quo of the development of the stone relief art of Han dynasty in Xuzhou, etc., and point out the viability of the development and heritage of the stone relief art of Han dynasty in modern environmental art designing.Chapter Ⅳ:On the theoretical basis of the former part, analyze the constituents of the artistic language of this art in details, point out its application in urban landscape, indoor interface, etc., and elaborate the new significance of this art in the new era.Chapter V:It, as the conclusion part of this essay, points out the necessity of exploring and promoting the artistic spirit of Han dynasty.This essay aims to give opinions and thoughts of the stone relief art of Han dynasty in modern environmental designing and promote the modern people to further understand the cultural and artistic spirits of Han dynasty so as to inherit and promote our brilliant and excellent traditional culture and make the charm of stone relief art last forever. |
