Language teaching involves two basic items, content and mode. The contentfollows syllabus, while teaching mode is a variety of methods derived from thesyllabus. Vocabulary is the raw material of a language. Vocabulary outline is of greatsignificance in teaching and the outline of it, mainly concluding textbook andteaching process. Thus, Vocabulary Outline of the Courses for Chinese NewspaperReading (VOCCNR) is of great importance, especially for the specialized courses.Unfortunately, the effect is not obvious. In the thesis, I attempt to find out the reasonsof the unobviousness through analyses toward the outline, and give suggestion formodification.This thesis focus on the Study on the Vocabulary Outline of the Courses forChinese Newspaper Reading. The author analyses of VOCCNR, involving coverage,selection, recruit, order, and spelling errors of the words. Then explore the reasons oflow coverage and other aspects. And summed up the inadequacies of VOCCNR,mainly reflect in three aspects: vocabulary lag, poverty in the content of thevocabulary, Lexical selection is not based on rigorous. Based on the analysis andraising proposals to the outline modification:Firstly, update vocabulary corpus, solvethe problem of vocabulary lag; secondly, emphasize the rule of theme words group,this is use of semantic field theory, provide learners with the integrity of the topic,thus help learners understand and remember the vocabulary of newspaper; thirdly,add the newspaper vocabulary in common use. The aim is to reduce the learners’ vocabulary dyslexia, accurately grasp the content of the newspaper reading.
