This thesis mainly studies on the tracing the origin and evolution of the catalogue of historical criticism in history category which is one of the four categories of the ancient bibliography.It consists of introduction,text and conclusion.The Introduction focuses on the value of the thesis theme,containing the academic history of this topic,the innovations and conceptions.Three parts are composed of the thesis:The first part is tracing the origin and evolution of the history category to study the formation of the historical criticism. The second part discusses the forming process of the the historical criticism. It combs through the bibliography about books which recorded historical criticism to get know the development situation, criterions and the enlarged range of historical criticism in history category.The last part try to expound the relationship between historical criticism in history category and Chinese traditional historical theory. The emergence and development of historical criticism in history category not only symbolizes the independence of the Chinese traditional historical theory including historical theory and theory of history,but also reflect and promote the development of Chinese traditional historical.The conclusion summarizes the growth of the historical criticism in history category,and propose further suggestions and ideas.
