The high-speed development of society at thesame time, modern aesthetic temperament also is in ceaseless promotion, innovation, seeking difference,seek the strange psychological look forward to design the form of innovation, and the illusion is a departurefrom the customary perception experience is a universal phenomenon, this kind of phenomenon is appliedto the design, can be more extensive development of the visual field form innovation. This article is allabout application of visual illusion is a kind of unique art form, especially the special visual effects, willstrongly stimulate the human vision, induce a person’s Psychological Association, embodies a kind of"meaningful form", also illustrates the visual design itself has diversity performance form. Therefore, theillusion in visual communication design applied research, we do have space also have reason to do furtherexploration.This article mainly from the domestic and foreign visual illusion research background, definition andother aspects of the previous studies are reviewed, in summing up the previous research results on the basisof deep analysis, visual illusion principle, characteristics, and the creative form of application and scientificuse of visual illusion application methods of application part made a detailed exposition. Purpose is throughthe illusion of applied research, so that we see it in the visual communication design in the application ofthe myriads of changes of interest, complex diversity, in order to further our understanding of theapplication of visual illusion which laid a theoretical and practical basis, and more aware of how to usethese conditions, the science and art of combining, in design work in a scientific avoid harmful illusion, onthe other hand, clever use of illusion, while allowing the designer to design thinking in a clever idea during the process of expansion, in the future the road broadens the artistic creation. Therefore, this paper arguesthat, visual illusion--for design and creation shape design of grasp, has the important theory significanceand the practice value.
