Chinese comic in the1980s which is the third peak period during the history of Chinese comic development. Chinese comic of this time had affected the propagation of social culture seriously. It can be reflected clearly in the number of issued, audience, style, and artistic achievements of the comic at that time. There are no form of cultural transmission or carrier can reach such a degree of popularity in the development of history in Chinese culture.We can know that Chinese comic is prosperous at that time by the study. It mainly dues to the social conditions, policy of culture and the features of comic. The object of this article is Chinese comic in the1980s, I will put forward to the central issue on the basis of getting a lot of data and the related literature. And I will make the study from the perspective of art history, the status of China during the1980s, comic book, the reasons for the formation, style, aesthetics and the value series. The article focuses on anglicizing the characteristics and influence of subject-matter, narrative forms and artistic expressions. In research methods, the article collected the data for a large number of Chinese comic and theoretical studies of the period in the1980s, and make a comparison in vertical and horizontal. And using the research methods of art historians, cultural historians and situation analysis to analyze the comic at that time deeply. The above is some specific research on the creation of comic strips, but to study art history, history, sociology height article is one of the few, especially the lack of depth, detailed and comprehensive study on the comic of the eighties period.At the same time, the comic book as a narrative art, it must makes the appropriate changes and adjustments, from content to form, in addition to maintaining the nation’s outstanding cultural characteristics, must be based on the development of the times, the improvement of people’s aesthetic taste. As the image narrative, Chinese comic records the artistic concepts and manifestations of this period visually, It has become the resources of study art history. And it is also the valuable information of social history, cultural history and ideas history. Although many scholars started to pay attention to these problems, there is no systematic study it, and raised the central issue until now. Why I choose this subject is that it is not only the publicity and attention of comic art but also a new attempt in the history of modern art, the reality of academic significance. It is helpful to the development of the study of comic art theory, and there are some practical significance to the Chinese comic by studying the artistic value, aesthetic value, and the further study of the educational of traditional Chinese comic, and do a research of cultural content and artistic value of Chinese comic at that time.The1980s had gone for a long time now, but the marks of culture at that time are still here. It also plays a role for today’s cultural awareness as a cultural ideology, and emerges from time to time in today’s reality of the field of culture. This phenomenon is not accidental. And it is indeed that some artists re-extracted symbolic elements of the movement in art and visual culture in the mid-1980s. And then it is broken by deconstruction, reorganization and other means, then add the concept of modem consciousness of its re-organization creation, thus creating a new visual forms.
