A Study On Silence In TV University English Classroom

Classroom interaction is critical in the TV university English class teaching. If the students can hardly open their mouth in classroom, the students can not learn English well. The two methods including survey and interview are designed, and the studying aim and objective are confirmed, and the surveying form and steps are established.Next, the results of the survey and interview are discussed in depth. The statistical data obtained from the survey and interview is counted, and the data results are analyzed in depth, and the status and existing problems of the current silence of the TV university English class teaching are obtained. And the main reasons of the silence of the TV university English class teaching are analyzed form the angle of the student and teacher.Finally, the corresponding suggestions are put forward according to the forming reasons of the silence of the TV university English class teaching. And the main counter measurements are listed as follows:establishing the relation of the mutual understanding between the teacher and student, optimizing the questioning strategies; decreasing the anxiety of the students, developing the dialogue training combining with the living background of the students, setting up the discussing group of English, exchanging the ideas among the students depending on the opening studying platform of the TV university.
