A Research On Milan Kundera’s Novel Poetics

Milan Kundera mainly expressed his poetical novel ideas in the following four works:The Art of the Novel, Testaments Betrayed, Curtain:An Essay in Seven Parts,and Encounter. Different from the traditional poetic theory that must be systematic, methodical and logic, Kundera’s novel poetic theory is full of innovative flow of thoughts and ideas, fresh language, inspiration-aroused expressions with extremely strong practice characteristics. On the basis of the further study in the four theoretical essays, this paper aims to sort out his literary view comprehensively and accurately in line with such literature as his works and review records by means of the holism thought and connecting the internal study with the external cooperation together.Chapter1:Introduction. This chapter introduces Milan Kundera and the basic situation of the poetical novels, the present research situation at abroad and home, the research objective and ideas of the paperChapter2:The essentialism of Kundera’s novels. The novel is the persistent search of many possibilities and is a kind of awareness behavior. Moreover, the novel is a kind of anti-lyrical poem.Chapter3:Polyphonic—novel form of Kundera’s theory. The innovation of Kundera novel is polyphonic which combines philosophy, narration and music together as the same dream. Kundera’s polyphonic is a genre polyphonic. Musicality is the main feature of novels’structure.Chapter4:Humor-the spirit theory of Kundera’s novel.
