With the advent of the information society, the pace of life is getting faster and faster, life "fragmentation" is becoming more and more obvious, the time which people spend on media is more and more fragmented. The diversification of the information media makes it unable to focus on certain things, which urges people to develop the habit of "light reading". This makes the main consumer, whether subjectively or objectively present a "short, lean, rapid" demand, the short film can be made full use of fragmented time by people to watch movies and television.In spite of the privacy of mobile space, the audience can be immersed in watching in their own private domain space, and enjoy expressing their feelings. Therefore, people called it a "pocket-sized mobile cinema". In addition, a variety of broadcast platforms and diversification of the receiving terminal provide technical support and a wide range of market for the rapid development of the short film. In addition, the new art form which is used to create and play by taking mobile phone mobile terminal products as carrier is more and more popular, and has already become the focal point of the video industry, its popularity even as much as a big production of traditional film. From the point of view dissemination of content, the short film is different from the traditional film in style of communication content and creative features. Taking the short film as the research object, this essay explores the unique creative features on the basis of analysis of the short film text. The aim is to provide a lesson for the development of the short film creation.The first part is mainly to illustrate the short film is naturally appear in the highly developed digital technology and life "rhythm" and "fragmentation" of the product in order to fill the time gaps and entertainment by defining the concept of the short film, combing the development status of the short film at home and abroad. With the enhancement of broadband network technology, the improvement of camera equipment performance, the development of mobile Internet, a short film began a new stage. It has become a new form of art, which would arouse the interest and attention of academia, to entertain and recognize society. Therefore, the short film will be one of the most potential modes of transmission in the Internet era.The second part researches the constraints of the screen, the privacy of watching, the filling of "fragmentation" of time, the mobility and interactivity communication from three aspects of the propagation characteristics, the audience characteristics, and media characteristics.Then, through a textual analysis on a sample of173segments film and television works, the type of performance of the short film is researched, we can see the works that closed to life, involved love, and humor, funny, entertainment, can cater to the needs of people. In addition, in the era of rapid development of new media, audience information needs the gradual shift from passive receiver to active search and sharing, the audience has more and more initiative. The same is true for the short film, due to the dispersion of the mobile media audience; the only way to get a much wider audience is to firmly grasp the audience’s "appetite". From three aspects of the brand, topic, story idea, this essay analyzes the factors that may decide the audience choose and then conclude that these factors are actually the first elements of affecting the user selection of short video programs and are also very critical point. For creators, who should master the rules of the game can have the last laugh.The third part has a quantitative study for short films and TV dramas from the sex structure, age structure, and occupational structure respectively among the sample of173samples, and a further analysis of the creative features of the short film from the perspective of the media features. It can be seen that a short film created to males, the creator show a diversified development trend among the freedom lovers and students aged from18to25. With the development of mobile network technology, as well as people’s needs increase, creation subject will gradually transit to the elite, because the elite production is bound to make a broader range of subjects of the film, a more diverse style, the richer content, and more perspective unique. In addition, during the creation of short film, people can use the structure of music, light and shadow, and color image to create a certain mood and atmosphere of a movie in order to deepen the role of the movie theme. However, it requires a short film in the story to the minimum setting, the suspense of the narrative means, as well as its unique image structure, because of the watching affect of a short film on the phone by the interference of the playback conditions. The film must have these can firmly attract the attention of the audience.In summary, the short film as a "mobile entertainment" new media form, not only satisfies the audience viewing the individual needs, but also loved by the younger age groups. Although the short film has formed a certain scale, but can not conceal their applause grossing reality. Finally, through the analysis of the dissemination of the contents of the short film, the essay also reveals the bottleneck problems of the short film in the development process, such as technology needs to be improved, the content quality varies greatly, the confusion of regulatory policy issues etc, and analyze the countermeasures that break through the bottlenecks during the development from a macro point of view, and find that the most critical point in the course of future development is to create "content is king".
