During the Wei-Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasty, literature has undergonetremendous changes. One of the most significant is the consciousness of literature andliterary creation of personalized. Xu-Yu Style emerged in this context. Xu-Yu Styleoriginated in Biography of Yuxin from the Zhou book. This style began from the dayswhen Xuling and Yuxin acted in the East Palace of Liang Dynasty until their late years.Its writers include the four of Xuchi, Yujianwu, Xuling and Yuxin instead of only thetwo: Xuling and Yuxin. Its literary forms contain poems and essays, rather than justreferring to the poems or essays. Xu-Yu Style chiefly means the works which arewritten by Xu Yu paternities, including portray feminine features and postures,expressing feelings of love, sorrow and resentments, depicting romantic natural scenerylike wind, flowers, snow and moon, and describing good, leisurely and comfortable life,language gorgeous and elegant, the beauty of imagery with a pure artistic conception.Based on the results of previous studies, this paper mainly analyze the Xu-Yu Style,which are reflected in its imagery, artistic conception, style, aesthetic trends. Finally,through the comparison with Aulic Style, we analyze the unique characteristics ofXu-Yu Style. The relationship between Xu-Yu Style and Aulic Style is complex. Theyare both in the generation time, text features and the creation of the main aspects ofclose contact. But they are different in the aesthetic and style ambience. Actually,Xu-Yu Style’s writers had once lived actively in the East Palace and had the experienceof writing poems about Aulic Style, which makes the relationship between the twomuch complexes. Therefore, the relationship between Xu-Yu Style and Aulic Style isnot subordinate, but intersected by each other.
