The Research Of The Means Of Livelihood Technology Of Pingtou Ancient Site In Hequ

Pingtou site is located in the Pingtou Village, Shanxi Province.It’s cultural age is about BC2000, the Neolithic late. This study is based on five housing site (with time undertaking a relationship), more than thirty pieces of polished stone and a string of bone decoration. The vertical time dimension is carded in about4000years ago while the horizontal geographical dimension limited in the Northwest of Shanxi Province. Through the mechanical tests, microscope (stereoscope observation and metallographic microscope) and other methods, trying from construction techniques, technology of stone tools and bone ornaments technology to extract scientific and technical information reflected in these materials. Our purpose in doing so is to show the original set of technical achievements related to the means of livelihood technology which Pingtou ancestors has created and to fill the blank of the scientific and technological research of that time in the area of the content.
