Chu culture concept is an extension of the concept, it is category of a history, ratherthan a time or a period of the culture, the so-called Chu is dead, and culturalconservation. The Chu culture refers to the origin, formation and inheritance in Chu--isnow in Hubei based in Hunan, radiation to Henan, Anhui and other places, and since thedevelopment of culture. Is the Chu people in certain time and area of activity in theaggregate, constitute the Chu culture of the actual content, including Chu society,philosophy of religion, language arts, national spirit and matter production and so on.The Chu culture is in primitive religion, witchcraft culture and ancient myth based ongrew up in a by the Chu people create unique culture.Thus, Chu is full of mysteries and romantic atmosphere. The Chu art was born insuch a piece of land, its patterns involving a wide range of subject matter, and thepattern of lines smooth, bright color. Chu decorative pattern in the Chu people’s life notonly plays a role of decoration, but also with their living environment, Voodoo ritualactivities and dance music of these aspects are closely related, so the Chu decorativepattern appears frequently in the ancient Chu people in all aspects of daily life, has veryhigh practicability and artistry. Chu decorative pattern unique style formation, also withthe Chu people about the universe understanding and the life beauty of movementadvocates are inextricably linked. From the beginning of the birth of Chu decorativepattern to its peak, it always hold to dynamic beauty has always been the pursuit, therevolution goes flying, flow patterns, deeply shows the dynamic beauty aestheticimplication, vividly presenting the period Chu people’s living condition, mental outlook,religious belief and cultural background, but also the Chu people’s life consciousnessand attitude toward life. The Chu decorative pattern of the study will help us betterunderstand the era of civilization, and its inheritance and development.This paper studies the Chu art in the Hubei region of the indoor space for thepurpose of application, is divided into five parts to analyze the significance andimportance of. First discusses the Chu decorative pattern the cultural connotation andspiritual meaning, and then from a large number of Chu artifacts, analyzes and inducesthe Chu art features, including the composition characteristics, expression, color feature.The Chu decorative pattern can be divided into animal pattern, plant pattern andgeometrical patterns are classified and described, and the modern aesthetic point,elaborated by the example of Chu patterns in modern interior space design applicationof technique and ways. Finally with the Chu patterns in modern interior space design inreason, condition and influence of Chu to illustrate patterns in modern interior spacedesign the necessity of existence and value.
