"The director’s thinking" is the core psychological activity of the director’s art creation as well as the director’s subjective, creative mental activity in the process of artistic creation."The director’s thought" runs through the whole film from beginning to end. Different life experience and aesthetic orientation determines each director having different "director thinking". As the fifth generation of director who cannot bypass the artist, Jiang Wen has been loyal to his own way during the shooting of the film. Although the film he shouted are only four films available and most of them are called "art film" up to now, he is conscious of pursuing movie commercialization and market-oriented operation so as to change the attitude of self-admiration once indulged in art film. Although his films have distinctive view and artistic style, he conscious of make the commercial aesthetic consensus and cooperation and form a certain balance between the artistic and commercial character. On one hand, it reflects the exploration of innovation in the art of film; on the other hand, it effectively promoted development of the commercial aesthetics. In Chinese movie the author attempts to analyze the paper meticulously from the aspect of Jiang Wen’s "the director’s thinking".The introduction part mainly makes analysis from the present research situation about Jiang Wen film, the significance of this study and the research purpose. On the basis of Jiang Wen’s living environment and cultural background, the first chapter explains the cause of forming Jiang Wen’"director’s thinking" through the analysis of the formation of the film concept and the developmental context of films. In the second chapter, considering Jiang Wen "guiding" and "playing" double identity assurance, the author analyzes Jiang Wen’s "Performing thinking" existed in his "director’s thinking", exploring Jiang Wen’s movie expression differing from other director’s and the reason for success of his film. The third chapter concretely analyzes the focus of Jiang Wen’s "director’s thinking" from the special subject, adaptation means, visual modeling and aesthetic skills in Jiang Wen film. The conclusion part briefly introduces the influences of Jiang Wen’s film on Chinese films.
