Research On Plastic Arts Of Bat Decorative Patterns In Qing Dynasty Furniture

This paper has presented an in-depth study on plastic arts of bat decorative patterns in Qing Dynasty furniture including two aspects:plastic form and composition relations.This research has filed the gap in the field.The results of this study can provide reference for establishing theory system of plastic arts of bat decorative patterns in Qing Dynasty furniture,and offer a basis for modeling design of the mordern bat decoration patterns.The research on plastic form of bat decorative patterns in Qing Dynasty furniture analyzes hang bat patterns and oblique flying bat patterns,mainly adopts analysis and comprehension method and evidence method.Through analyzing folding bat patterns and flat bat patterns,the form characteristics of hang bat patterns were summarized;and by analyzing glider bat patterns and wing bat patterns,the form characteristics of oblique flying bat patterns were summarized.The research on composition relations of bat decorative patterns in Qing Dynasty furniture analyzes hang bat patterns and oblique flying bat patterns,mainly adopts survey method and data statistical method.Through analyzing local relations and local-integral relations of hang bat patterns,the composition relations characteristics of folding bat patterns and flat bat patterns were summarized;and by analyzing local relations and local-integral relations of oblique flying bat patterns,the composition relations characteristics of glider bat patterns and wing bat patterns were summarized.In conclusion, the basic plastic forms of the wings of bat decorative patterns in Qing Dynasty furniture are as below:whole wings or branch wings,symmetry or non-symmetry,down looking of planar or side looking of tridimension;the trunks’are as below:variant cylinder,variant ellipse,irregular shape or no trunk;the tails’are as below:wishful moire tail,curly tail or no tail;the heads’ are as below:variant triangle or irregular shape,positive or side looking or half side looking;the facials’ are as below:concrete or abstract.The composition relations of bat decorative patterns are as below:0.618golden ratio;1/(?),1,(?),(?)
