| Chinese calligraphy is derived from the five thousand years of Chinese traditional culture.Calligraphy blending Chinese nation spirit is now becoming a miracle of art because of it’srich cultural deposits. We are responsible to develop the Chinese calligraphy. Nowadays, theinternet is becoming the first way for cultural transmission as it’s amazing speed ofdevelopment. Therefore, this paper proposed several Chinese character beautification methodsin order to integrate the Chinese calligraphy into the computer world, so that more and morepeople can understand the art of Chinese calligraphy.We have summarized the characteristics of Chinese character from a lot of calligraphyworks, and tried to merge the feature of Chinese calligraphy into our methods based oncomputer graphics technologies. The main contributions of this thesis include as follows:1ã€This thesis introduces the components based beautification method. In this method, wedivided a Chinese character stroke into several components including “stroke segment†and“jointâ€, and drew the components separately. This method is first designed for Kai-style font.In this paper, we showed a general way to extent this method. Besides, we gave a Li-stylecomponents based beautification method.2ã€This thesis proposes the brush model based real-time calligraphy simulation method.In this method, we tracked out the writing speed of the user and do some scale-change to thebrush model which is used for rendering based on a suitable speed-scale function. Someexperiments have been done to show the performance of this method.3ã€This thesis proposes the pattern analysis based Xing-style font calligraphy simulationmethod in which we use a brush model rendering engine just like the brush model basedreal-time calligraphy simulation method. We highlighted a set of skeleton transformation,skeleton transformation includes structure transformation, stroke extending transformationand stroke connecting transformation. At last, we gave some experimental result.The experiments show that each of the three methods has its own feature and all of thethree methods are able to effectively beautify user-input handwritten Chinese characters. |
