The Study Of Body Act Or State-words Expressing Emotion

People inevitably try to understand and study emotion which exists objectively in the process of cognizance of all things in the world. The emotional experience of human includes enjoyment, anger, sorrow,fear, disgust, anxiety, etc. From the aspect of expressing emotion, there are many ways to express emotions, one of which is to use body act or state-words. From the aspect of body act or state-words, they can express lots of meanings, one of which is to express emotion. It not only involves psychology and physiology, but also involves Linguistics. Therefore, the body act or state-words of expressing emotions form a characteristic polymer in modern Chinese vocabulary. Though some articles involve the expressing of emotion more or less, the study is not yet fully. This paper takes the words containing body constituent as a case, attempt to study the expressing of emotion by body act or state-words specially and scientifically, trying to analyze the characteristics, ways, and laws of them. The text part is divided into the following several parts:In chapter1, we introduce the conception of emotion and the definition of body act or state-words of expressing emotion. According to the classifications of emotions by people at all times and in all countries, and the characteristics of Chinese vocabulary, we select47kinds of emotion and407words as our study objects.In Chapter2, we classify the words from three angles-categories of emotions, body organs and parts and parts of speech,and we also analyze their characteristics.In Chapter3, we analyze the ways of expressing emotions in body act or state-words. The ways are various. They can express emotions wholly and partly, meaning that they can express other meanings except for expressing emotions. Some words can express diversified emotions, and there are also correlations between them. The ways of expressing emotions by body can be divided into "single posture" and "complex posture".Also, some words express emotions by real description.,some by virtual description,and some by combining real and virtual description.In chapter4, we analyze the changing in degree of body act or state-words expressing emotion.In chapter5, we study the semantic field, including classified field, synonymous field, antonymic field, partial negative field. In the semantic field, the body act or state-words expressing emotions have their own features.In chapter6,we study the construction mechanism of the meaning of body act or state-words expressing emotions, which is influenced by objective base, subjective factors, similarity and cultural factor.
