Objective:(1) To investigate the prevalence of loneliness experience, and to analysis the difference in gender, age, the only child or not, somatic diseases or not, and family situation;(2)To explore the relationship between loneliness and family function, parental depression, parental social support in children and adolescents;(3)To test moderator and mediator effects of family function and parental social support between loneliness and parental depression.Method:UCLA Loneliness Questionnaire, the McMaster Family Assessment Device, the Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale,Social Support Rating Scale were used in190students and one of their parents. T-test, one-way ANOVA, correlate analyze in software of SPSS15.0were introduced to analyze the prevalence of loneliness and to learn the relationship between loneliness, family function, parental depression and parental social support in children and adolescents. AMOS7.0was used to establish the integrate loneliness-family function-parental depression-parental social support model.Results:(1)The level of loneliness in the only child is lower than non only child (t=239, p=0.018); With the growth of age, the level of loneliness gradually increased (F=12.95, p<0.001); with the increase of parental education level,the level of loneliness gradually decreased (F=7.38, p<0.001; F=10.05, p<0.001);(2) Children’s loneliness decreased with the rise in FAD scores (r=0.576, p=0.000); The more serious of parental depression, the stronger the loneliness experienced (r=0.390,p=0.000); the higher scores of the parents’social support, the smaller on loneliness(r=-0.344, p=0.000);(3) Family function as a mediator between children and adolescents loneliness and parental social support was found; parental social support as a mediator between children and adolescents loneliness and parental depression was found.Conclusion:(1)There may be difference between age, the only child or not and parental education level in loneliness;(2)There are significant correlations between family function, parental depression, parental social support and loneliness;(3) Family function mediated the relationship between loneliness and parental social support, parental social support mediated the relationship between loneliness and parental depression.
