The Evolution Of Chinese National Opera Absorbing XiQu Elements

Since the birth of Chinese national opera in the early part of the20th century,with the exploration and improvement of several generations of musicians, Chinese National Opera has formed both with characteristics of Western Opera and in rich of national personality. In the course of development of the Chinese National Opera, the absorption of the XiQu elements is undoubtedly the most successful attempt. The evolution of Chinese National Opera absorbing XiQu elements began with "ocean-based" to "local-based", and then to the diversified development way of "combination of Chinese and Western" which is more harmony and unity since Reforming and Opening, although it has experienced some setbacks and reversals during this period.On the base of the collection of the relevant literature of Chinese National Opera and XiQu, and understanding of existing research results, this article mainly uses the way of comparison, induction and analysis. From the longitudinal perspective of the historical development and the horizontal perspective of the various traditional XiQu elements, it comprehensively discusses the absorption process of Chinese National Opera to traditional XiQu elements, intuitively showing the evolution of the Chinese National Opera absorbing traditional XiQu elements. Under the new situation, Chinese National Opera absorbing XiQu elements still needs to be further innovative.
