This paper, in which media is as a reference dimension, gives an overview of the course of the evolution of the texts of " Chinese Orphan ".Character version of the texts of the " Chinese Orphan " which is represented by "Records of the Historian" is characterized by resorting to the visual.The author who can independently accomplish the texts is viewed as the hub. The concepts of the author dominate the text.Stage version of " Chinese Orphan " includes two art forms. Owing to the features of the stage, there are distinctly Good and evil, intense conflicts in Yuan dynasty. Still the concepts of the author dominate the text.In the drama directed by Lin Zhao hua, the features of stage media have an impact on the text. However, the concepts of the director is the main factor.In the Image version of " Chinese Orphan ",the theme and plots are disciplined by the television media. The director turns out to be the slave of the culture industry of the television media.In the film version of " Chinese Orphan ", filmmakers appeals to the public. The result,which is influenced by both the media and the concept of the filmmakers, is that the film’s narrative logic is confusing. Owing to the culture industry, media increased the impact on the text which is even more than the concept of the filmmakers.From the writing, the stage to the image, the disciplinary power of the media is growing.
