Research On The Use Of Fuzzy Words In Regulatory Official Documents

In this paper, with the combination of corpus theory, we put the fuzzy words in legaldocuments as the entry point of the official language research. By constructing the documentscorpus in the two books named Series2009and2010, administrative rules and regulations ofthe State Council of the People’s Republic of China,2008and2009Shandong politicalregulatory documents,we built a total of85examples, about50million words of legaldocuments corpus and put more focus on the research on the high-frequency fuzzy words. Wehad a systematic study of the characteristics,the roles, principles and application of norms offuzzy words in legal documents, in order to provide a scientific guidance to the regulatorydocument writing. This paper has a composition of six parts which includes by anintroduction, abody, and aconclusion.The first chapter, pointing out that the reasons to choose this topic,the researchsignificance of the main draw on the theories, methods, and the source of the documentcorpus, corpus construction methods and processing methods of the corpus.The body part includes four parts which had a analysis on the the origins, classification,and its specific use of the characteristics of legal documents, the use of the way of fuzzywords and focus on the analysis of high frequency appeared fuzzy words. And then putforward the reasonable advices of the proper use of fuzzy words in order to provide someuseful lessons and theoretical guidance on the research and writing of legal documents.The second chapter introduces the theory of fuzzy linguistic and fuzzy words, whichincludes an overview of the fuzzy language and fuzzy word meanings and other relatedresearch as the reason for the existence of fuzzy words in the fuzzy classification of words inthe different standards and regulatory documents, necessity,and use characteristics.The third chapter had a analysis based on the two books named Series2009and2010,administrative rules and regulations of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China,2008and2009Shandong political regulatory documents on the high frequency use of severalfuzzy words, as the time range table, the table level, the table tends to four types of fuzzywords, focus on the highest frequency for each type of fuzzy words, and had an analysis oftheir ambiguity, the use features.Chapter four had an anlysis on the the role of fuzzy words in the legal documents language and its application of the principles and other issues to discuss and draw relevantconclusions.Chapter five focused on the regulatory documents that exist in the use of fuzzy wordssuch as: fuzzy and vague district can not tell too much abuse of vague words and the precisewords and fuzzy words uncoordinated and a reasonable feasibility of proposals.The conclusion part made a summarization on the previous chapters and discussed onthe innovation and deficiencies of this paper...
