The history of Buddhist thought has a long history, Buddhism came to China nearly two thousand years of history blend with the Chinese traditional Confucian culture had a profound impact on China’s intellectual, has an important role in guiding China’s social and moral. According to historical records, Chinese Buddhism began in the Western Han Dynasty, as the Sui and Tang to the zenith, and spread so far although the change is enduring. Buddhism for the moral education of the community is consistent with China’s traditional Confucian moral purpose, for trying to lead the social and moral to the Highest Goodness. Generally considered that, the core of Buddhist thought is the spirit of leaving the world. Regardless of Mahayana and Theravada are regard the spirit of leaving the world as the ultimate goal for personal liberation, Nirvana realm as the highest ideal. But Mahayana Buddhism also regards the rescuing earthling as own responsible out of compassion. Mahayana Buddhism is different of the understanding of the spirit of leaving the world from Theravada Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism thinks that the "heart" is the subject of leaving the world, that only the "heart" cut off Ming shelter and get rid of the pain causes, may have left the world, regardless of the body in the mountains or in the temple on earth. Even if ultimately achieve Nirvana realm, the flesh still left to die, so more emphasis on the study and understanding of Mahayana Buddhism inner, while not very strict requirements in the form of practice as well as a monk and at home, six ancestral Patriarch even encourage practice at home. Mahayana Buddhism generally agreed with the holding the heart of leaving the world involvement in the world for all living beings, Buddhists set an example for impacting the world through their own "heart" and "behaviors ", and get rid of greed, hatred, and delusion, feeling happy and comfortable from the heart. Buddhism teaches that everyone is equal, everyone has compassion, everyone can become a Buddha, so not doing wrongs, and actively doing well. And establish a standard of good and evil of moral, specifically third blessing six good things three learning six degrees and Five Precepts ten good deeds in order to achieve the requirements of morality.This paper is to explore the connotation of Buddhism spirit of leaving the world, especially the understanding of leaving the world in Mahayana Buddhism. And elaborate the Buddhist ethics and social impact from the point of view of a combination of Confucianism Buddhism and Taoism. Briefly describe the specific role of the Buddhist moral to improve Chinese society moral as well as practical significance in view of moral situation of Chinese society.
