Research On Uyghur Jamaat’s Social Customs And Mutual Aid In Rural Society

The main content of this paper is on Jamaat group’s Social customs and mutual aid in the Uyghur village society. I have been familiar with the Uyghur rural society, especially the southern part of xinjiang----Hotan Prefecture. As one of the outstanding nations in the Chines history, The Uyghur has excellent culture. Over the years, scholars have focused on the Uygur folk culture and its heritage issues. In other words, the material folklore mostly draws researcher’s attention. Uyghur Social customs were not completely studied in that our research team and object complexity. With the development of society, the Uyghur rural society is turning into modern one, of course, the development of society affect the Uygur material culture and spiritual culture and its existence. From this perspective, research on Uyghurs Social customs among Jamaat group is very urgent.This thesis is divided into the following steps.In the introduction part, I analyse the definition of Uyghur Jamaat,and its difference with the other Muslim nation, the basic features of the domestic research and situation of research object.In the first chapter explained the Uyghur Jamaat’s custom and the type of mutual aid. Such as Jamaat’s Social customs within farming practices, Jamaat’s Social customs in life, Jamaat’s rituals in life, and its importance and characteristics, Jamaat’s social cohesion and its actual performance and so on.In the second chapter, I mainly analysis the Uyghur Jamaat definition with the community, the basic characteristics of the of Jamaat’s social relationships, mosque’s creative role on Jamaat’s Social customs, an anthropological view of Jamaat’s reciprocity, human concept, social networks and Jamaat’s mutual aid, and so on.In the third chapter. I analyse the values and heritage of Social customs of Jamaat group. This chapter focuses on the Jamaat’s role in maintain the social order, Jamaat’s economic activities in rural Uygur rural society, changes and evolution Jamaat’s Social customs since establish of china.Jamaat’s Social customs is the outcomes of combination of Uyghur rural farming society with the excellent Islamic views, Uyghur people social principles and the human concepts. Islam widely affects the worldview of the Uyghur people and difficult rural social life creates Uyghur Jamaat’s Social customs. It became the truth of life and direction of culture. Although Jamaat’s Social customs subject to the development of life and constant change, but still embodies the principle of Uyghur’s Social customs. I analyzed through a detailed field work, and research create the way of researching uyghur Jamaat’s Social customs, hope that this research could be basis of future research.
