The ethos and art perception of her female characters outmatch that of the female, and this kind of spiritual prominence is just the color of the prophetic archetypes in the Bible; inside the female experience, Xu Xiaobin exposes mother——the essence of mother right, and lays stress on presenting the shadow archetype of the demon mother. While Salome, an unknown biblical character also triggers her artistic reveries and helps her shape a series of females full of the charm of "evil".In chapter2, the author analyzes the simulation and transformation of biblical plots in Xu Xiaobin’s works. Xu Xiaobin reuses and remodels some typical plots in the Bible, such as the two familiar stories——Cain killed his brother; Paradise Lost. She makes use of the former to write her query on blood relationship and pondering on original sins and spiritual punishment deep in humanity; and she makes uses of the latter to stereoscopically see through various paradoxes between human and nature, and male and female, from which she also reveals the desperation and hope towards human’s social reality and the reality between male and female. In chapter3, the author analyzes the adaptation and reconstruction of biblical images in Xu Xiaobin’s works. This thesis mainly investigates the image of water and the image of Noah’s Ark. Life and death, and salvation and escape are important themes in biblical culture, which are also the concerns of Xu Xiaobin. In her novels, she refers to the symbolic meaning of water and Noah’s Ark in Christianity, and through them, she expresses her unique female experience. In the conclusion part, the author summarizes the viewpoints and demonstration results of the whole thesis, and puts forward his innovation and thinking.
