30observers (18--26years old with normal acuity) were selected by the Embedded Figure Test from75participant. All of subjects anticipated in the two experiments of different tasks when scanning the scene images, their eye movement trajectory were recorded by the Eyelink II.Experiment1is the free view experiment, and experiment2is the object detection experiment. The statistics shows:(1)There is significant difference between the different field cognition individuals when they scan the scene images.(1)In experiment1,there is significant different between the field-dependence and field-independence in their fixation events. The field-dependence allocates more attention to the salience of the image regions.(2)In experiment1,there is significant difference between the the field-dependence and field-independence in their fixation events in half of the presented image, there is no different in the other half presented image. After the discussing of the size of the Area of Interest(AI),it works out that there is significant difference between the size of AI, so it can be assumed that there might be a correlationship between the fixation events and the size of AI. Thus, we can’t deny the significant difference the different field cognition styles show when they watch images.
