Language is a stereoscopic and multi-dimensional system, and has always been related to human's cognitive activities closely. During the historical course of human's evolution, a large quantity of past and present language facts have proved that the information has been transmitted among the people mainly by"others'telling", not by"being experienced personally". Thus, language is the most essential way in which human beings can spread the information and acquire the knowledge. People can obtain"the basic semantic knowledge"through the language communication, on the basis of this, people can give the resemblance analysis between the cognitive experiences and the things characterized in prominence, and then accomplish their categorized cognition. Thus, it can be generalized like this, constructed on the foundation of the acquisition and transmission of information and knowledge, the human's cognitive world is set up through the languages among human beings. In this article, according to the basis of the essential natures of language, the author has an organic combination and synthetic discussion of the prototype categorization cognitive mechanism, the features of fairy tales and development level of children's cognition, is trying to render the courses of"adults telling fairy tales, children hearing fairy tales"and"children reading fairy tales"established as a typical model methodologically, in which humans can exchange and spread information and proceed to build up their cognitive world, and has called it"Fairy Tale Model"(abbreviated as"FTM"). Then, there is one thing that must be emphasized, that is,"FTM"is not to give a common study of the fairy tales, but to explain the way in which human beings disseminate and accept the information and cognate things, and in this sense,"FTM", influenced by cultural factors, is universal and widespread.
