Bargu is a branch of Bargu Buriat dialectin Mongolian, which is classified into two types, colloquial Old Bargu and New Bargu. Previous researchon Bargu dialect is mainly made on phonetics, grammar and vocabulary of colloquial Old Bargu. However, there is little research work concluded on colloquial New Bargu. In this paper, a study is made of the phonetics of colloquial New Bargu employing some linguistic approaches, such as, mathematical statistics, experimental phonetics methods and comparison methodsThis paper consists of six parts, namely, introduction, chapter one, chapter two, conclusion, reference and appendix.The introduction introduces historical origin of Bargu tribe, present situation of the research on Bargu. reasons for selecting the topic, significance, investigation status and research methods.Chapter one describes the vowel phonemes in colloquial New Bargu, distinguishing features of the vowels, long vowel duration. In addition, the vowels are classified into three types; short, long and synthetic vowels. And short and long vowels are divided into two types; word-initial vowels and non word-initial vowels.Chapter two presents the consonant phonemes in colloquial New Bargu,which incllude general stuations.palalalized consonants, distinguishing features and the variants "/p/,/x/,/k/,/r/Lastly,the new findings are summarized in the conclsion.
