An Experimental Study Of Xinjiang’s Chahar Dialect

Based on the "Acoustical parameters database of Xinjiang Chahar dialect", this paper makes a phonetics research to vowel system and summarizes the characteristics of vowels.This dissertation consists of six chapters.Introduction reviews the Xinjiang Chahar’s population distribution, historical evolution and the study of Xinjiang Chahar dialect in theory, and introduces the methodology, meaning and resources construction of corpus.Chapter one introduces the short vowels characteristics of Xinjiang Chahar dialect based on the acoustics analysis which compared with Oirad dialect, and then present the common and distinguished features.Chapter two mainly analyzes the features of long vowel of Xinjiang Chahar dialect.Chapter three analyzes the speech harmony of Xinjiang Chahar dialect.Chapter four is mainly about the research of stress accent, which summarizes the stress accent position and characteristics of dissyllabic, and trisyllabic words based on the model of pitch and intensity.
