Chinese Modern Utilitarian Though Research

Utilitarianism, as the core of modern political thought one of the systems; it not only affects the western modernization process, and also deep influence to the development of China’s modernization. And this kind of influence concrete manifestation is through the whole Chinese modern political thought influence to finish. In modern China, because of the special historical situation, cause the Chinese traditional utilitarianism way of thinking to catch up. In addition, western powers in the strengthening of aggression, but also promote the in the Chinese modern western widely spread. And it was also in this spread of the western learning, mature in the19the century British western utilitarian political thought and then into China. So, Chinese modern political thinkers inherit traditional utilitarianism in their way of thinking and at the same time, and the western modern age utilitarianism political thought the bold to critically absorb, can cause Chinese modern political thought has the obvious utilitarianism thought characteristic.This paper mainly introduced from three part of modern Chinese utilitarianism. The first part, mainly introduced the China the causes of the formation of utilitarianism in modern China, including what is the utility, what is the utilitarianism, and Chinese and western utilitarianism’s research and development; The second part of the main wrote of utilitarianism in modern China main content and the historical value, including the theory of human nature, the word view, free, and lies. The third part, mainly wrote the similarities and differences between Chinese and western utilitarianism, through comparing, summarizes the characteristics of modern Chinese utilitarianism and historical limitations. This paper introduces the three part of utilitarianism in modern China political thought influence and development, so as to make us more clearly understand China modern age utilitarianism idea.
