Survey And Teaching Proposals On Overseas Students’ Learning Of The Adverb "Jiu" And "Cai"

The research of the adverb "jiu" and "cai " has been the hot spots of Chinese language gramma study in recent years and has become the key points as well as difficulties of the Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, owing to the diversity in their meaning respectively and the high frequency in daily communication. Through the method of questionnaire, this thesis mainly makes an investigation of each different meaning of "jiu" and "cai" respectively to clarify the acquisition sequences of the two in different meanings and the infection from foreigners’mother language. Then, by means of the method of error analysis and comparison analysis, this thesis finds out the diffculities and reasons for errors. At last, the author put forward some teaching suggestions based on the acquisition sequences and difficulities in study.In the first two charpters, this thesis firstly gives a summarization of the previous research which referred to "jiu" and "cai", based on which as well as the definitions that sorts of dictionaries prescribed, it then fixes the meanings of "jiu" and "cai" referred to this thesis’ research content. Next, according to these fixed meanings, the author designs the questionnaire, of which the author elaborates the investigation purpose and object and analizes the figures subsequently.After that, this thesis gives a description via charts through which it makes a clear classification of the students’learning situation in mastering different meanings based on different periods and different background of mother language. Then, aiming at the errors of different meanings, combined with errors in using "jiu" and "cai" taken from HSK Dynamic Compositon Corpus, this thesis makes clear the reasons for errors, according to which, it provids a series of effective teaching proposals.Although this thesis mainly describes and analizes the studies of adverb "jiu" and "cai" and gives some teaching suggestions correspondingly, the methods of research adopted and the teaching proposals provided can also be employed in the teaching of other adverbs the same sorts of "jiu" and "cai"...
