The Creation Of Illustration And Graphic Design On The Context Of Chinese Traditional Ink-Wash

In this paper, the tenet of the exploration and research of modern Chinese illustration under a traditional Chinese wash painting context is "intensively studying the traditional and making the past serve the present". On a basis of reviewing, sorting and understanding the traditional Chinese wash painting, this paper proposes points that worthy of learning for modern Chinese illustration. Bold research and innovation on the basis of fully analyzing and understanding the traditional essence is the correct method for pushing the modern Chinese illustration for development. Among the research and innovation, an important link is to inherit, explore and develop tools, materials, and modeling and expression techniques of drawing, which is also a field that arouses public attention of Chinese wash painting. Modern Chinese illustration needs innovation and development, and materials and expression techniques also need to adapt to the development trend. This paper aims to seek for development and innovation on the basis of inheriting the tradition. The history of Modern Chinese illustration in China was less than one hundred years, entering into today’s contemporary culture, the way that our recognition and understanding towards Modern Chinese illustration will lead to some delicate change. Chinese wash painting has experienced the history of several thousand years’evolution, with the rapid development of the Modern illustration painting form through the world, the author believed that the traditional Chinese wash painting and the Modern illustration’s collision will bring us the surprising chemical change. Under the traditional Chinese wash painting context, how to promote and keep the Modern Chinese illustration’s vitality, and how to research the illustration of the modern art appeal deeply, is the most important issue in front of us.The Chinese wash painting is the treasure that our ancients left for us, is the crystallization of wisdom front our descendants of the Yan and Huang Emperors; according to solve the foreign illustration’s aesthetic art form that impacts our Modern Chinese illustration through today that encounters the opportunity and challenge, to reshape the Chinese painting art in international art field with Chinese characteristics and the status of Chinese illustration painting, to cultivate Chinese traditional aesthetic values, art logic thinking mode, it possess the unconsciously influenced value of painting theory and art reference.
