Analysis Of The Alfred Schnittke Viola Concerto(1985)

Alfred Schnittke was one of the most famous composers from former Soviet Union. His viola concerto was created in1985, which was considered to be an outstanding piece for viola and devoted to the great Russian violist Yuri Bashmet. Although this piece was a modern one in the sense of time, the composer didn’t abandon the traditional ways of composing.This paper was composed of three parts. The author expects the further understanding of this piece through the analysis of the paper, and the concepts of creation from the composer as well.
