Studies On Marxist Historian Li Ji

Li Ji is a Marxist who is the typical significance, however could not get public’s approval in a long time. In the domestic historians, especially after year of1949, academics evaluated Li Ji according to ideology standard, and regarded Li Ji as a number of Troysky school so that exclude Li Ji out of Marxism historic pedigree. Because of politic reasons, the academia seldom did system research about Li Ji’s history thought. My thesis regards Li Ji as a object in academic history, and also think about the influence of politic thought, so I will combine Li Ji’s thought from his connection with Marxism、social history、 history of ideals and his critics about the main history tendency in republic time in order to analysis and critic his thought and his contribution for history and provide some good use for the rebuilding of Marxism history.Through out Li Ji’s whole life, he translated many books about Marxism who had a great contribution on importing Marxism. Especially before CPC, he translated many books about socialist thoughts which made up the theory lack problem during building Communist Party of China. He is not only a peddler of Marxism, but also a practitioner. Li Ji was a communist in the early period, who contributed his own power for the nation’s liberation.In the socialism history, Li Ji put the classic Marxism as basics, and regarded mode of production as standard to divide Chinese social pattern. Though his theory "five stages" has suffered criticism of the academics in that time, he should get appraise in all. Compared with the academics in that time who lack of their own thought in Marxism books, Li Ji could used Marxism more flexible.In the thought history, Li Ji insisted Marxism in criticizing experimentalism first. And then he had his own establishment. During this time, he started from economic point to study the Zhu Zi of early Qin how to emerge and boom and the reasons of their extinction. Also he attached a great importance of class property’s influence to every school.One of the main significant features of Li Ji’s article is criticizing. He had criticized many persons for example Guo Moruo、Gu Jiegang、Tao Xisheng、Chen Bangguo、Ye Qing、Zhu Qihua and so on, more than30person. Among those peole, he analyzed the first three in detail. So in the fourth part of my thesis, I will show Li Ji’s Marxism tendency thought his criticizing of the three persons.Finally, I will think about the reasons of the academics’wrong judgment on LI Ji and get some enlightenment from this. The reason that academics did a wrong judgment on Li Ji is different political standpoint. We can get three enlightenments from the microscopic research on Li Ji. First, in the academics during that time, the people that did research on Marxism were in a large number, not only Li Dazhao and Li Da and so on. Second, political standpoint should not become entangled with academic standpoint too much, political standpoint should not control academics, or this could bring about the lost of academics itself. Third, the pedigree of Marxism history is not perfect and we can revert the original Marxism thought the microscopic research of Li Ji.
