Dadian,one of the three ancient towns in the southeast of Shandong,has a long history and rich culture. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Shandong area saw the rise of Zhuang family, which is typical of the local distinguished families getting respect and influence through imperial examinations. Since the Wanli age of Ming Dynasty witnessed the birth of the first successful candidate of imperial examinations in Zhuang family, the Zhuang family had brought up generations of scholars successfully passed the imperial examinations in the following hundreds of years. This continuous contribution lasts until the last candidate Zhuang Gailan in the late Qing Dynasty. This led the family onto a smooth and unbroken path of official career and elevated the family to be a well-known clan of many branches in the southeast of Shandong area. Benefiting from the prosperity of Zhuang family, Dadian became a distinctive landlord manor constituted with seventy-two halls.In the early days of the Anti-Japanese War, Dadian also enjoyed a unique historical position. Being the birthplace of the original Shandong Provincial Government, Dadian was for a time the command hub of the Revolutionary War in Shandong area and earned the reputation as "the Small Yan’an in Shandong". During that period, Dadian experienced the Land reform and other important historical events, thus transforming from the original landlord manor into a regional revolutionary center. With reform and opening up,Dadian began to explore the traditionally culture resources and the revolutionary resources, became the famous historical and cultural town, bases for patriotic education and famous cultural tourism centre.DaDian as the Rural Social Transformation in Modern China is one of the representative villages, the cultural transformation experienced by the manor to the regional revolutionary center and then the course of development of the historical and cultural towns. This course of development experience from the Ming and Qing dynasties to recent years, a long historical period, in the long history of time, the culture of DaDian with the transformation of society, in different times presents different cultural feature, which behind it is the era of cultural value orientation at work. Especially in recent years, the value of urban life to become a value with reference to rural society to shape the landscape of life. This is also the will of the state of cultural expression in the transformation of rural society. The construction of the rural country, is a rural urbanization process, in this process, the will of the state form of cultural policy or economic policy to guide the development of rural society,that reflected in the construction and development of rural culture in the rural culture as the yardstick of national macroeconomic policies and guidance, shape consistent with national policy and to the region the benefits of cultural forms,this is particularly typical performance in the big stores. Dadian rely on the historical status of the manor culture and regional revolution to shape the cultural transformation of the modern large stores of new forms of expression, it is the historical and cultural towns, this is the culture of the country and rural areas, the government and the public interest demands the integration point.
