Chinese reform has gone through for thirty years, and no matter how much progress we confessed the reform has brought for us, there is one thing that we can’t deny that is the bad things happened in the reform are as conspicuous as its achievement. Now we must face with these serious problems that happened in the reform:more and more unemployment, loss of state assets, sharp class conflictions, corruptions, moral lost and so on. Chinese working class, because of china reform, became low-level hierarchy from once the leading class. When there was a responsible writer group renewed attention to this vulnerable group and tried to appeal for their demands, they encountered with many awkward things.First, there are so many sensitive factors with laid-off workers:sensitive class identity, the close contact with the reform question and limited space for public discussion, so how should the writers write when facing with this theme? Some of the writers tried to intervene the reality and shout with their own critic voice facing with politics, but more writers choose to diluted the political overtones and show this underclass’s lives and humanity.Second, now the official announce that the class has disappeared for ever and hierarchy gap is lawful now, also China reform is political mandated and can’t be questioned, so these writers fell into an embarrassed situation which reflected in the works is that:most of the time they only can discuss some light questions; the only theory they can find to support for this hierarchy’ protest is "the working class is the master" which is constructed in Mao Zedong era; they can only provide some bright end such as political salvation or self-save the laid-off workers themselves. This imagined salvation both weaken the politics’responsibility and imply these writers’ faintness.Third, in some works, the writer tried to use the working class’ moral character that the laid-off worker had to enlighten the people and correct the era’s moral. However, in the market economy and the tide of secularization, people take the elite statues of the intellectual seriously no long and more and more people deny the intellectual’s preaching, so how effective the writer’enlightenment and preaching will be, this is really doubtful. In fact, the biggest problem that these writers have meted with which I think is they can’t find an effective theory support for the laid-off worker group.
