Objective:(1)To investigate the prevalence of children’s somatization symptom in primary school, and further analysis the differences in gender and grade of children’s somatization symptoms;(2) To explore the relationship between alexithymia and somatization level in primary school;(3) To test moderator and mediator effect of alexithymia between child psychological meltreatment and neglect and somatization.Methods:Children’s Somatization Inventory(CSI), the20-item Toronto Alexithymia Scale(TAS-20) and Child Psychological Maltreatment and Neglect Scale were used in940primary school students. T-test, one-way ANOVA, correlate analyze, and linear regression in the software of SPSS17.0were introduced to analyze the prevalence of children’s somatization symptom and to learn the relationship between alexithymia and somatization level. AMOS18.0was used to establish the integrated child psychological meltreatment and neglect-alexithymia-somatization model.Results:(1) the sample average score of children’s somatization inventory was (M=7.40, S.D.=7.07);27.3%of the children reported at least one serious somatization symptoms, and the most common somatization symptoms was xerostomia, difficulty falling asleep or early awakenings and skin itching; There were significant differences in somatization symptom from different gender and different grades;(2)The correlation coefficients of the TAS-20and CSI was0.32(p<0.01);(3) The direct effect of alexithymia to children’s somatization was0.39,and the indirect effect of child psychological meltreatment and neglect to somatization was0.13and0.09.Conclusion:(1) the detection rate of children’s somatization symptom in this sample was27.3%, the pain/weak symptoms were the most common symptoms;(2)There was significan correlation between alexithymia and children’s somatization level;(3) Alexithymia mediated the relationship between child psychological meltreatment and neglect and somatization.
