The Study Of The Effect Of Psychological Resource Depletion To Fair Behaior

Psychological resource is an energy to support individuals to produce a variety of awareness of mental activity as well as external behaviors. At present, researches on the psychological resource have already been widespread concerned of psychologists at home and abroad. When psychological resource is depleted to a certain extent, the individual is likely to generate self-depletion, which causes a failure or deterioration in the quality of a variety of self-control task. In this study, starting from the concept of psychological resource, seeks to examine the effect of psychological resource to individual fair behavior, and the impact of fair behavior of the depletion of individual psychological resource when the cognition for fairness were started.In this study, participants were university students in a total of two experiments. The experimental results are consistent with the hypothesis, confirmed our inference.Experiment1results showed that individual psychological resource depletion does affect the performance of its inequitable conduct. When Resource was allocated in the dictator game, compared to individuals of adequate psychological resource (control group), individuals of psychological resource was depleted (experimental group) showed more unfair behaviors, namely when psychological resource is depleted, individual fair behavior is a significant reduction as unfair behavior increased significantly. Experiment1found that regardless of individuals whether depleted psychological resource, the fair performances of different gender subjects when allocated resources in the dictator game were differences.Experiment2showed the start of fair perception would diminish the impact of psychological resource depletion on the fair behaviors of individuals, namely individuals’fair behavior whose fair cognitive were started after psychological resource was depleted were different from individuals’whose fair cognitive were not started after psychological resource in the dictator game; individuals’fair behavior whose unfair cognitive were started after psychological resource was depleted were not different from individuals’whose cognitive were not started after psychological resource in the dictator game. Starting fair cognition of the individual, the same as positive emotions induced by individual, individuals restored psychological resource of self-depletion and reduced unfair behaviors accordingly. The second experiment found that different genders’fair performances in the dictator game were different after cognitive starting and starting fair cognitive, but different genders’fair performances in the dictator game is no difference after emphasizing unfair cognitive.
