Researchers have paid considerable attention to the comparison between The Mainland and Taiwan novels from the local fiction and anti-Japanese novels perspectives. However,I think there is still great room for the comparison research on the novels across the Taiwan Straits. As the direct contact across the Taiwan Straits has been achieved, the divided state of the Chinese literature usheres in a new history of the timing for integration. It is feasible and necessary to study the novel of the Mainland and Taiwan in a new perspective and point of view. I choose "the local anti-Japanese novel" this new perspective to do further research on the novels across the Taiwan Straits, showing that the Mainland and Taiwan novels were born from a common cultural matrix while going toward diverse literature directions because of different historical fate later. This paper clearly demonstrates their close relationship by comparing the homogeneity and differences of the literature across the Taiwan Straits. The paper is divided into three parts. The first part analyses different writing and expression of the Motif in the local anti-Japanese novels of the Mainland and Taiwan. The second one analyses the different appearance of the same characters in the local anti-Japanese novel of the Mainland and Taiwan. The last one compares the different styles of local anti-Japanese novel across the Taiwan Straits.
