The paper is not intended to provide a linear narrative of art history, but in order to specify the logical relation exists between two art fields. They are distributed in different time and space, but they share the similar structure, motivation, and shackles. The paper wants to demonstrate that the art field of relational aesthetics is the continuation of the’Salon of rejects’in1863.The relation of them is not performed in the evolution of art styles, and is not caused by continuity and proximity of time and space, but attributed to the vangaurd art fields which is trying to breakthrough the shackles of the art system——eventually take them to the art autonomy by their critics. Peter Burger pointed out that the art autonomy has been exists in the1700s as a historical phenomenon of bourgeois class. Whether it is to participate in the life practice, or divorced from the economic cycle of the bourgeois? Two art fields gave different answers, but both are failed to eliminate this paradox, the cultural contradictions of bourgeois society need to find a new solution.
