A Study On Practical Teaching Mechanism Of"Red Star Music Forum"

"Red Star Music Forum" is a practical teaching mechanism functioningprimarily as a "singing forum", meanwhile also as a "song forum"(concert)，a"class forum"(open class)，and a "lecture forum"(academic lecture). It hasexperienced the period of establishment (1994-1997), the period of development(1997-2005)，and the period of mature(2005-2012). The process of itsdevelopment features its keeping pace with the times, submitting to the militaryeducation reform, and obeying development needs of the P.L.A. As a practicalteaching platform for the speciality of musical performance in the Music Departmentof the P.L.A. Academy of Art，"Red Star Music Forum"has three teaching forms,which respectively focuses on "singing forum" on stage,"class forum" for openclasses, and "lecture forum" aiming at general teaching quality. As the fruit of theteaching reform and the development in the Music Department, it promotes the"practical teaching" idea strengthening the "sense of stage", the "quality education"idea valuing "general quality", and the "position-oriented education" aiming at"serving soldiers". The practical teaching mechanism was founded by the prestigioussinger Prof. Li Shuangjiang, thus embodying his art innovation and developmenttheories like "serving soldiers"，valuing "stage practice", and "keeping pace with thetimes". In general，the forum has contributed greatly to the training of army musicaltalents, as well as to the development and reform of the P.L.A. Academy of Art.
