The Use Of Operations Research On Office Space Design

In the thesis, all the subjects will be discussed from a new perspective—combine bothdesign and operational research. Designers use operations research to improve the designlevel and try to narrow the design and complementation. To get a rational and efficient designknowledge system for office space decoration, this proposed method will provide realisticreference and is helpful to the interior design.The thesis is divided into six chapters. In the first chapter, the background of operationsresearch and office decoration is introduced. In second chapter, the characteristic of officespace and the evaluation program are introduced. In the third chapter and forth chapter, theoperational research in the implementation of design effect, and the practical application ofconstruction site are individually discussed. In the fifth chapter, a practical case of how toapply operational research method on the office interior design is provided and discussed. Atlast, conclusions are drawn upon the operational research application in interior design.
