The Study Between Historiography Quarterly And Contemporary Chinese Historical Thoughts(1980-2010)

There occurred an earthshaking change since1980s. Meanwhile, Chinesehistorical research surroundings showed some new circumstances. From theperspective of guiding ideology, historians emancipated their minds. They were freeof the left guideline based on the class struggle, and broadened the historical researchfield. Together with impact of foreign historical theories, Chinese historiographystrengthened the mergence and penetration of relative subjects, which took on anumerous and mixed phenomenon, with a tendency that historical research fieldexpanded and diversifications of history subjects. It is in that specific socialbackground and academic environment that Historiography Quarterly founded andestablished the aim and developmental orientation. From the dual perspective oftheory and practice, the development of academic magazines together with extent ofhistorical innovation were able to reflect lots of key issues about magazines, era andhistoriography. The development of the magazine to contemporary Chinese historicalthoughts has a boost. There exists a ground interaction. Based on the aboveconsideration, the author goes about to discusses of the whole passage from threeaspects and research perspective.This dissertation consists of three parts:The first part mainly emphasize on the background and academic background ofbefore Historiography Quarterly started publication, we can penetrate the backgroundin which Historiography Quarterly started publication.The second part chiefly explain the development and research characteristic ofHistoriography Quarterly. In specific analysis process, On the one hand, throughintroducing the founding and its purposes of Historiography Quarterly to learn aboutthe relationship between the magazine and the era and historiography; On the otherhand, by the relevant analysis on the range of topics and column rheological ofHistoriography Quarterly to investigate the academic journals’ research features, soas to further explore interactive relationship between the academic orientation ofHistoriography Quarterly and Chinese historiography.The third part aims to understand more deeply interacted relations betweenHistoriography Quarterly and Chinese historical modernization by means ofexploring the relative thoughts (such as thoughts of interdisciplinary research, Chinese and foreign history communication and historical reform) reflected in some articles ofperiodicals,to furtherly explore how Historiography Quarterly influencedcontemporary Chinese historical thoughts.
