Mathematical Statistics And Analysis Of Literature Geography Of China

This article basically shed light on quantity, level, topics, authors, journals and othermaterials of literary geography research in China since twentieth Century. By doing suchmathematical statistics and analysis we found the following four basic characteristics:1)Befor1990’s the study of Literary Geography was in a hazy exploration phase, and with justa few number of entries, however, the research object roughly clear; In1990’s, the study onliterary family and regional research of literature increased, while the theoretical explorationon literary family started; In the first ten twenty-first Century, literature geography researchpapers and works increased, and appeared prosperity.2) Currently the most popular topicsin literature geography is on literary family and regional research of literature. The study onthe geographic distribution of literateur has gratifying achievements, but because the topicitself is limited, its quantity won’t be so large.3) From the current collection of essays andpapers, dissertations accounted for a large proportion, the literature geography research arewidely concerned by the younger generation of university and institutes, and has hugedevelopment potential and broad development prospects.4) The journals in which literaturegeography research papers published has not yet formed a cluster effect. Authors chose thepublication of more randomness. Before I started to write this paper, there were not anyjournals devoted to the study of literature geography, nor was there any set of LiteraryGeography columns in any journal. We wish this problem should be solved urgently. Wehope this statistical result could become a useful reference for the scholars whom are doingresearch on literature geography. In addition, we briefly analyzed the current literatureretrieval and indexing status and according to the literature cataloging forms, put forwardnetwork structure category index system. The system is an upgrade of the tree structure ofsubject index, dig it deeper and make it more in detail. We believe that this system would bemore consistent with human knowledge model. By using this system, we could not onlyavoid the mistakes and problems brought by keyword search in a certain extent; but alsoimprove its retrieval accuracy. Last but not the least, this paper also has certain referencesignificance for the construction of on-line database content indexing.
