There are large numbers of talented people in period of history in Jiangxi,especially in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. Till Qing, there are few successfulpeople that were from Jiangxi. As one of the representative regions for Jiangxi culture,Fuzhou had sank obviously in Ming after prosperous Song and Yuan dynasties. InQing, there appears Lifu, who was successful in both scholarship and politics,becoming the representative figure in Fuzhou, even in Jiangxi.Lifu(1675-1750), who styled himself as Julai, and was also known as Mutang,was from Linchuan county Fuzhou prefecture Jiangxi province. He passed the highestimperial examinations during48th year of the reign of Emperor Kang Xi of the QingDynasty when he was35years old. He had worked as an official until5th year of thereign of Emperor Yongzheng when he was53years old. In his official career, he hadworked as a governor of Guangxi province and Zhili province, and governor oftransport of grain by water to the capital, which were the most important positions inhis almost20years work life. In the first year of the reign of EmperorYongzheng(AD1723), he managed in transporting of grain by water to the capital,which laid a good foundation for his next work as the governor of Guangxi provincenext year. After one and a half years, he had promoted to governor of Zhili province in1726. In December of4th year of the reign of Emperor Yongzheng, Lifu was removedfrom post as he was suspected to participate in the battle of imperial examinationswhen he co referenced with Tian Wenjing.Lifu had created lots of literature in his lifetime, mainly as Chun Qiu Yi Shi20volumes, Lu Zi Xue Pu20volumes, Zhuzi Wan Nian Quan Lun8volumes, Yang-MingStudy Record20volumes, Shi Gu Wen Lei Gao50volumes, Mu Tang Chu Gao50volumes and Bie Gao50volumes. As a local topology scholar, he revised Baqi Annals,Linchuan County Annals, and compiled Xijiang Annals Supplement. This paper takesthe historical materials about Lifu from Mu Tang Chu Gao, Mu Tang Bie Gao andYongzheng Zhu Pi Yu Zhi as the core, using the research approach of studies ofhistorical literature, to analyze comma of sentences and phrases and collate theinterrelated historical materials. After the former work, I’d like to receive the scholars’research results and investigate the literature value of Lifu, so as to enrich the study of Qing dynasty.The master copy of Mu Tang Chu Gao is the carving copy of5th year of thereign of Emperor Qianlong (1740) by An ju wang shi Wu nu xuan, which isphotocopied from Siku jin hui shu cong kan bu bian by Beijing Publishing House in2005. Its checked in edition was the carving copy of1st year of the reign of EmperorXianfeng (1851) by Dai Junheng, which is photocopied by Shanghai Ancient BooksPress in2002.The master copy of Mu Tang Bie Gao is the carving copy of12th yearof the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1747) by Feng Guo Tang, which is photocopiedfrom Siku jin hui shu cong kan bu bian by Beijing Publishing House in2005. Itschecked in edition was the carving copy of11st year of the reign of EmperorDaoguang (1831) by Feng Guo Tang, which is photocopied by Shanghai AncientBooks Press in2002.
