All the issues related to Will invariably center on reality and theoretical study, especially on philosophy, ethics and psychology. From a historical point of view, therehave been abundant illustrations on the topic of Will, home and abroad. In ancientChina, philosophers investigated “Will” and “Fatalism” focusing on “the debate overnature and man”, and people overwhelmingly agreed upon “Fatalism”, while paying noheed over the issue of Will to a great extent. From their point of view, under theinfluence of the prevailing notion “Subjects must obey their emperor absolutely even ifhe orders them to die”,there was no room for Will, and in that historical social setting, the Will of human was highly restricted. Will is the integrated terms of aspiration and wish, on many occasions, they areform a single compound word, or are separately divided into two independent words. The majority of illustrations are focused on the essence of Will and its influence onhuman’s practical activities. As Will as part of meta-ethnics, similar to otherphilosophical propositions, itself is a reflection on philosophy which represents thatsubject is independent on object. It exerts the Will of subject to see and to observe theobject, which shows the role of subject playing in the process. In fact, the over pastdynasties have witnessed numerous articles on personal aspirations and pursuits. Sincemodern times, the phenomenon relating to the integration of China’s special politicaland economic development mode, social mode as well as world cultures, have beendiscussed more frequently along with the rejuvenation of the subjective idealism ofLu-Wang s Mind-Nature Theory, the further development of the study of Buddhism inChina, as well as the increasing discussions on the philosophy of western modern. In thewest, the issue of will has been studied for a long time; The Will Theory actually hasgone through considerable changes, which evolved from that of ancient mysticism, therationalism in modern times, irrationalism and Marxist practical Will in recent times. Will itself is acted upon freedom as its premise, its action being good and evil, which is the integration of object and subject as well as life and nature. Moral Will isthe one that manifests in the moral activities, leading to goodness, and we shouldanalyze it from the standing point of strategies and practice, with goodness as its leadingdirection, it should be understood from its motives and final result. Kant’s theory ofWill is based on the absolute and unconditional goodness, which is part of moral will, absolutely altruistic, and therefore, a special case of moral Will, with its goal beinggood itself. From the angle of the integration of virtue, Will and stamina, we should notequate will to moral Will, as people’s moral quality is progressively enhancing in theprocess of development. Therefore, it’s essential to distinguish the three differentnotions, either on the point of the discussion on moral theories or on the moral practices.
