Study On The Grapheme And Calligraphy Of Qin Bamboo Text Collection Of Yuelu Academy (Volume1)

At December2010, with the publication of Qin Bamboo Text of Yuelu AcademyCollection (Volume1), it announced three Qin bamboo text sources which were ZhiRi,Politics, Government Officer Administration and People, and the Book of Interpretationof Dreams. With a considerable number of records as well as the richness of its content,they provide abundant synchronous sources for us to study both Yuelu Qin Bambootexts and Chinese Calligraphy.This paper based on the diagrams from the journal Qin Bamboo Text of YueluAcademy Collection (Volume1)is in view of two important aspects. First, it is characterpattern. It needs to use both horizontal and vertical comparisons to analyze thedevelopment and changes of Qin Li s shape. Second, it is calligraphy. It needs toobserve and study detailed characteristics of Yuelu Qin bamboo text calligraphy, andcontrast Yuelu Qin bamboo text calligraphy with Chu bamboo texts, Han bamboo textsand Xiaozhuan to analysis Yuelu Qin bamboo text calligraphy s composition and thecharacteristics of writing.This paper is divided into four parts. First, it clarifies the Yuelu Qin bamboo texts inflectional categories and analyzes the origins of horizontal stroke, vertical stroke, leftfalling stroke, right-falling stroke, dot stroke and fold stroke, to retrospect the origins ofthe strokes of Qin bamboo text s Chinese characters and Shang-Zhou Chinesecharacters. Meanwhile, it studies the commons of the of the Yuelu Qin bamboo text sChinese characters shapes from Chinese characters immobilization and transition.Second, from the six aspects mix used and misused by simplification, complication,generalization and dissimilation, it analyzes the basic laws of Chinese characters shapechanges. Then, according to the different categories of articles, it analyzes Chinesecharacters from those books Zhi Ri, Politics, Government Officer Administration andPeople, and the Book of Interpretation of Dreams,and think over the connectionbetween the texts aims and characters. Last, through the contrast between Yuelu Qinbamboo texts, Chu bamboo texts, Han bamboo texts and Xiaozhuan, this paper is toanalyze Qin Bamboo text s important status in the history of Chinese calligraphy.This paper, through the contrast among Chinese character s shapes, Chinesecalligraphy s structures and writing ways, draws a conclusion from both synchronic anddiachronic dimensions that Qin Li is a special character with a subtle writing style, andit helps people learn Qin Chinese Character and Chinese calligraphy s development inQin Dynasty.
