The Protection Of The Ancient City Of Fenghuang And Research Of Tourism Development

The ancient city of Fenghuang is located in southwest of Xiangxi AutonomousPrefecture in Hunan Provence, which belongs to the Ethnic minority area. Its ethnicminority culture as the core of the historical and cultural landscape and scenic naturallandscape, become the country’s101st state-level historical and cultural city. Since thebeginning of2001, Fenghuang has established by the tourism as the leading industry ofthe economic development, and ushered in the peak tourism development. Large influxof tourists to the ancient city brings enormous economic benefits, but also has broughtgreat pressure to the protection of the ancient city. Environmental pollution, destructionof cultural assimilation, cultural relics and so on have become the main problem in frontof Fenghuang Town. How to find a appropriate way between the ancient city protectionand tourism development, becomes the problem which must face and solve for theancient city of Fenghuang tourism development.In this paper, based on the tourism development of the ancient city of Fenghuangand the previous research results were reviewed, it researches the ancient city ofFenghuang tourism development and protection of the ancient city problems. This paperconsists of four parts: the first part mainly introduces the research background and theresearch method. The second part mainly introduces the history of the ancient city ofFenghuang culture, tourism resources, and analyzes the value of the ancient city ofFenghuang tourism development. The third part mainly discusses tourism developmentpresent situation of the ancient city of Fenghuang from the history of tourismdevelopment, tourism resources development, tourism economic development status ofthe ancient city of Fenghuang and analyzes the problems in the tourism development ofthe ancient city of Fenghuang. The fourth part puts forward the theory of the protectionof the ancient city and development principles. On this basis, it explores an effectiveway to protect the ancient city of Fenghuang for development, and try to offerconstructive opinion for Fenghuang tourism sustainable development.
