“The mothers”is an important motif of the Chinese Literature.In regard to theimages of mothers,the academic world’s research emphasized on the perspective offemale consciousness,they analysed the changes of the mother images to anatomizethe development of female consciousness.This article attempts research the motherimages in Chinese modern woman writers’ literary works combine the socialenvironment,historical background,the writer’s personal life experience in order toanatomize the unique significance of female writing in modern literature.The”thirty years of modern literature”period in the traditional sense is a complexsociety.From the pre-Qin period to the Ming and Qing Dynasties,women’s status inChina became more and more low in the influence of the increasingly stricttraditional view of women.In the “wu-si”period,the women’s status began to riseunder the impact of enlightenment thought.In the multi-cultural background,themodern female writers created rich and colorful mother images:noble,holy idealmother images;slave mother images;the mothers who awake in the suffering;themothers who are selfish,indifferent,twisted,distorten.The mother images were closelyrelated to the writers’personal life experience.The female writers blend their familyexperience,love experience,female consciousness in the creation of the motherimages.They restored the mothers true colours and subverted the mother imagesbefore.This female writing has great significance in the history of literature.
