Decoration art (Art deco/decorative art), an art form covering a wide range, is amain discipline of plastic arts with planar and three-dimensional decoration as its maincontent. Decorative art is aimed at the creation of aesthetic forms which are in certainrules and orders, created through abstraction, and stylized, using principles likesummarization, exaggeration, and abstraction.Decorative art is not only the most ancient art form in the history of mankind, butthe most common art form in human society. When it appeared in the form of the mostprimitive and simple visual symbols, the earliest decorative art had already embodiedmany essential aspects of art and, to a certain extent, influenced other forms of art. Theauthor believes that at least it has later laid a foundation for plastic arts and aesthetic.Decorative art exists in murals with decoration as the prominent feature ofmodern murals. This paper will focuses on this issue.Today, decorative art has become a dispensable art form in our daily life, bringingto us endless aesthetic enjoyment and spiritual joy. The author holds that decorative artwill always exist in a visual form, casting a beam of the first light in the morning uponthe world of art.
