With the reform and openness and economic development, China’s film industry has alsoimproved thoroughly. Not only in aesthetics thinking and production techniques reachinternational level standards, but also turn toward the development of industrialization, andformed certain business model. China’s domestic film has more box office than import films forseveral years, but, the box office is supported by only a few big-budget production films.A lot of domestic films only can cost-recovering, even some films can’t get the cost back,also the reputation of production company is hurt. In2011,as a representative of domestic smallcost movies,the film Love Is Not Blind becomes the Chinese film black horse. This kind offilms almost are love stories and they perform steady in market. These films have bigcommercial potential and can drive the development of Chinese film industry. This paper isstudying the profit model of Chinese film industry through contrasting with profit model ofHollywood and focused on domestic small cost movies, then analysis and think deeply with theprofit model of Chinese film industry.
